The Jockey’s Cap block is similar to the Drunkards Path block but with a slightly more flattened curve to the wedge shape. The blocks are easily hand pieced using scraps of light and dark Christmas fabric and can then be stitched together by machine. The back of the cover has a simple overlapped closing with no fastenings so the whole cover is an easy and speedy project.  Putting slip covers over existing cushions is a great way to give an instant festive look to a room and they don’t take up too much valuable storage space when not in use. Extra blocks or sashing strips can be added to alter the size of the cover to fit your cushions.
